Development Opportunities

What we can offer

Here at KSS we offer a range of development opportunities to support both individual staff and team development.

Rather than offer a range of open programmes, we work with our stakeholders to design and commission programmes that meet specific organisational needs. If there is something you think we could help with then please get in touch with us.

We work closely with the NHS Leadership Academy to support a set of national programmes to combine successful leadership strategies from international healthcare, private sector organisations and academic expert content.

Senior Mentor Development Programme - Day 1
Duration: All day

In order to further support  “Developing People Improving Care” framework,  the KSS and London Leadership Academies are looking to develop Senior Mentoring Capacity across KSS and London.  The purpose being to support future aspirant directors develop as senior leaders across the system.

KSS and London Leadership Academies are running a two day programme for senior colleagues (Director level or above), which offers to refine senior mentoring capability.  The approach will be developmental, so applicants will be invited to engage in a short phone call with the supplier (The Performance Coach) who will look at developing the candidates current mentoring skills to determine learning objectives.

The Commitments of the programme are:

  • Complete the full programme.  This will involve a time commitment of 2 days
  • Willingness to spend 30 minutes for a pre-programme call
  • To commit to joining the Leadership Academies Mentoring register and making yourself available to mentor one mentee at any given time for the next two years

This programme is currently full.

The Academies have not yet finalised details of programmes for the new financial year.  However if you are interested in receiving information about potential future cohorts of this programme, please contact us at leadership.kss@hee.nhs.uk
